Gabriel Valverde is currently a researcher student at the UPM’s CIG research group, taking part in a project linked to an important Spanish energetic company.

Short Bio

Gabriel Valverde received his B. Sc. degree in Mathematics  and his B. Sc. degree in Statistical Sciences and Techniques with honors from the Extremadura University in 2013. He obtained a M.Sc. degree in Mathematical Engineering from the Complutense University of Madrid in 2014, where enjoyed a collaboration grant granted by the Spanish Ministry of Education about “Application of Big Data Techniques in Operation Research”.

He has worked as Lead Data Scientist and Machine Learning Scientist in Bankinter, while simultaneously pursuing his doctoral studies at IMEIO, participating in different projects. Although he began his professional career in Wyred, a start-up focused on personalization in marketing, where he developed different predictive models based on Machine Learning.

In the last PhDay Complutense Seminar, he has awarded with a UCM PhDay Accésit in Mathematical Sciences.
